South America
The vast and diverse continent of South America stretches from north of the earth’s equator to close to Antarctica near its southern tip. It is little surprise therefore that the range of tourism options in this 12 country land mass span a huge variety of experiences. Such diversity includes dense Amazon rainforest, snow-capped Andean mountains and the natural wonderlands of Patagonia and the Galapagos Islands.
You can enjoy the modern vibrant cities of Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lima, Medellin and Santiago. Sites to sample the life and culture of the past include Perus lost city of Macchu Pichu, the old mining town of Potosi in Bolivia and the line and geoglyphs in the Nazca Desert. Throughout the continent there are countless sites of historical interest telling tales of the various cultural influences that have molded the people and the land of South America. Beaches, islands, mountains, deserts, jungle, history and vibrant modern cities, South America has got it all.
